As our economy and world continues to shift, it has been interesting to hear folks talk about looking for more in terms of their lives, their work, their purpose. Dr. Wayne Dyer‘s 2009 movie release “The Shift,” speaks to this poetically and dramatically, as only he can. Filmed mostly at Asilomar, a lovely, rustic retreat in Monterey, California, the film tracks the lives of its characters while presenting a “movie in a movie” of Dr. Dyer recording his thoughts and wisdom.
Breaking from the documentary style of the popular film “The Secret” and some others in the spiritual cinema genre, this film combines sensible direction with beautiful cinematography, plausible, real-life examples (except maybe for the couple with the Porsche…although Portia de Rossi is excellent) and a timeless message.
View the movie trailer here. And perhaps my favorite part/sub-story – Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra. Here’s the music video.
