GCR will be helping you understand what it means to be green. Since I started Green Collar Rap people have been asking me what is it? What does it do? I always give the same answer. It’s a blog that inspires conversations with information about environmental and social issues. This week we will discuss “What Green Means To You And Your Home”. From materials to mechanical systems.
Today’s topic- Certified Materials. These points and tips are meant to be your check list. They should help you with some of your home renovations.
Certified Materials

* Use of low U-value (reciprocal of R-value) windows
* Use of low-E glass (low=emittance) to reduce heat loss
